She was the grand daughter to our
Toby and we bought her as a 3
month old puppy from Peter v. d.
Steen in Holland. An absolute
cracker of a bitch who was shown by
Peter for us. It took her a while to get
used to the show scene, but when
she eventually did break through she
was impossible to beat and winning
everything she entered culminating
in going reserve best in show at
Herning (largest show in Denmark).
Despite several offers to buy here
she lived out her life with us and
died at the ripe old age of a few days
short off 17. She was the sweetest
little soul and a very good friend.
DKCH, Int. Ch Dares v.d.
Bismarckquelle,
I found him in Holland with almost a
year's coat growth on him. He had been
shown in Holland and Belgium had won
several certificates, but the owner had
lost interest in him and was showing
other stock. Very soft and with very little
self esteem Dares came to us and
achieved his
championship title in
just 3 shows.
Together with Lolah
he sired our first and
best home made
champion "Jumbo" .
We obviously had to start breeding at
some stage so we chose Lolah and Dares
to be the parents of our first show litter.
Out of that litter we got our Jumbo. So
called as from a very young age we hoped
that he wouldn't get too big. Of all the dogs
we have ever bred over the years Jumbo
was the King. With movements to die for,
well laid back shoulders and a presence
you very seldom see. At one stage he and
his mother dominated the show rings in
Denmark- for 5 consecutive shows they
won both CCs and one would always win
the breed, and the other the reserve and
the winning one would go on to win the
group and show.
