In 1997 I started moderating the world’s largest e-mail list on the internet for Wire Fox Terrier
breeders and owners. There are well over 1400 members world wide (2009). It includes a great
mixture of all the top breeders around the world and pet owners who might be thinking of going into
showing or agility and through this medium I hope to continue to promote the breed as far and wide
as possible.
In October of 2001 I took over editing the advertisements for the WFTA year book. I also did this in
2002.
Dog Websites which I was responsible for:
In Feb 2002 I was asked to be web master for the Wire Fox Terrier Association’s website
www.wirefoxterrierassociation.co.uk. I did this for 3 years. And due to managing the website I was
also one of the photographers of all the dogs at the Championship shows around the UK.
Since then I have started hosting a new informative website called www.wirefoxterrieronline.info
where I aim to provide information about the breed.
I was also webmaster for the Ulster Fox Terrier Club website
www.ulsterfoxterrierclub.wirefoxterrieronline.info . Alas the local club has since folded.
From May 2005 to August 2006 I was the webmaster for the Belfast Dog Show Society website
( www.belfastdogshowsociety.co.uk ) and was also their official photographer for their site.
And was also the webmaster for www.saredon.co.uk and of course our own website
www.scanwyre.co.uk/com.
Since the summer of 2002 and for about a year I was the overseas news correspondent for the Wire
Fox Terrier breed notes of “Dog World” in the UK.
I was voted onto the committee of the WFTA as of October 2002 but left
after only 6 months due to sickness.
We still breed but most of our pups go overseas for showing. I now spend
most of my time in the show world judging.
